Mount Temple is a mountain in Banff National Park of the Canadian Rockies of Alberta, Canada. It is located in the Bow River Valley between Paradise Creek and Moraine Creek and is the highest peak in the Lake Louise area. Morane Lake Road (cross-country skiing)

It was my first approach to cross-country skiing after approximately 40 years pause. We tried classic style, skis with “fish skin”, and didn’t like it. But we managed to complete the entire 19km. First you incline, more or less steadily, till the very view point of the Consolation Valley, and then simply ski downhill using the track.
